Bsod kernel_data_inpage_error

Hi everyone,

Recently bought a new computer during the Christmas break, had a lot of problems with BSOD a few days after while playing games, but was able to fix them by disabling my ATI High Definition Audio. But recently, I've had problems with BSOD while idling, which I was able to fix for a bit by turning my power options to high performance.

But I've been getting BSOD's lately without warning and at random, always with KERNEL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR. On the bluescreen, it also lists at the end that "Physical Dump Failed with status 0xC000009C), and then I cannot find a .dmp file in my minidump folder. The BSODs are logged in my event viewer as Kernel-Power errors.

I am running Windows 7 Home premium 64 bit as a pre-installed setup.

If there is any other additional information I can add, please let me know. It's been really frustrating since I've got this new computer.

If you wish to have others assist you with your computer's BSOD symptoms, upload the contents of your "\Windows\Minidump" folder. The procedure:

* Copy the contents of \Windows\Minidump to another (temporary) location somewhere on your machine.
* Zip up the copy.
* Attach the ZIP archive to your post using the "paperclip" (file attachments) button.
* Briefly describe the problem history and circumstances in the same post. Somebody will attend to your query as soon as possible.

I've zipped up the two dumpfiles in my minidump folder, however, these dumps were when I was having BSODs when idling two or three days ago; a lot of my BSODs also have at the end of them "Physical Dump Failed with status 0xC000009C). I'm attaching those two dumpfiles anyway as well as supplying the Event Viewer for my most recent BSOD, which seem to happen either while playing World of Warcraft or when I have a Youtube video on Firefox. I've being having the same Kernel data inpage error in various forms, 10 over the last two weeks, just hoping for some insight in what I can do to correct this.

Once again, another BSOD, this time while I was idling the computer with World of Warcraft and a Firefox up. Kernel data in page error, listing Ntfs.sys after the STOP code. Physical memory dump failed, so no minidump file to put up. Any ideas?

Just got another BSOD, while playing WoW and using Ventrilo, buzzing on the speakers as well as a Kernel data in page error, is there anything I can do if the physical memory dump fails?

Another KERNEL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR while installing the Rift Beta and having a Firefox open. Once again, no minidump even though I'm set for a small memory dump in my settings. It lists ntfs.sys in the BSOD.

After the last BSOD, i did a chkdsk and watched it periodically during it. It showed no bad sectors at all.

Getting really frustrated that I can't find out what exactly the problem is, any help at all, even if it's to tell me to contact something else would be appreciated.

From what I'm reading

For dumps to be produced. . .

- Page file must be on OS drive
- Page file base allocation size must be > than installed physical RAM
- Windows Error Reporting (WER) system service should be set to MANUAL
- Set page file to system managed, OS drive

Right now my virtual memory is defaulted at 6103mb and I have 6144 MB installed according to HWinfo32, so should I manually increase my pagefile to something above that level?

Did you ever resolve your problems? I'm also having bsod's with the same 0x7A stop code with ntfs.sys and no dmp file.
