log in using safe mode and note the devices/hardware that is installed and running. Now log in normally and note if there are any more that show up. Remove these new devices and let win 7 scan and re-add them.

It is time to test hardware. Start with testing your RAM with Memtest. Read this tutorial and follow the instructions. Let Memtest run for at least 7 passes, preferably from a cold boot after your computer has been off for a while. The 7 passes will take 6-8 hours. Post your results.

http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/105647-ram-test-memtest86.html

Next test your video card with Furmark. Follow the instructions in this tutorial: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/100356-video-card-stress-test-furmark.html

If you have no errors with Memtest or Furmark, test your CPU with Prime. Follow the instructions in this tutorial: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/100352-cpu-stress-test-prime95.html. Run 3 separate tests, one on each of the settings (Blend, Small FFTs, Large FFTs). Post your results.

Run Check Disk.
Run CHKDSK /R /F from an elevated (Run as adminstrator) Command Prompt. Please do this for each hard drive on your system.
When it tells you it can't do it right now - and asks you if you'd like to do it at the next reboot - answer Y (for Yes) and press Enter. Then reboot and let the test run. It may take a while for it to run, but keep an occasional eye on it to see if it generates any errors. See "CHKDSK LogFile" below in order to check the results of the test.

Elevated Command Prompt:
Go to Start and type in "cmd.exe" (without the quotes)
At the top of the Search Box, right click on Cmd.exe and select "Run as administrator"

CHKDSK LogFile:
Go to Start and type in "eventvwr.msc" (without the quotes) and press Enter
Expand the Windows logs heading, then select the Application log file entry.
Double click on the Source column header.
Scroll down the list until you find the Chkdsk entry (wininit for Windows 7).

Copy/paste the results into your next post.

Now test your hard drive with this bootable HD diagnostic:
HD Diagnostic (read the details at the link).

ok I have ran every test under the sun.

Ram test no errors
Furmark ran for about 5 mins. Temps leveled @ around 90 degress no crashes.
Ran hard drive test no errors.

Other than being a random BSOD issues it mainly occcured on a cold boot.
After reading other forums on the web I decided to return and exchange the card.

So far not one issue has occured with the new card. Now lets hope it stays that way.

problem resolved

The problem turned out to be a defective graphic card that was new. If my MB had an onboard graphic card it would have been another trouble shooting step to isolate this issue. In any event I would like to thank everyone for their assistance.
