Hey All,

I replaced my motherboard a little while back from an Asus to this new Gigabyte, and ever since I have been having random BSOD's. Can anyone let me know exactly where/what they are from and how I can resolve these? Thanks so much!

Kingston Hyper X Ram 4 x 4096 MB

> AVG can be a contributing cause of BSOD'S . Please remove and replace with Microsoft Security Essentials AT LEAST TO TEST

Download tools and utilities | AVG Worldwide

Microsoft Security Essentials - Free Antivirus for Windows

> Please remove any CD visualization programs such as Daemon Tools and Alcohol 120%.

They use a driver, found in your dmp, called sptd.sys, that is notorious for causing BSODs.

Use this SPTD uninstaller DuplexSecure - Downloads

when you're done you can use this Freeware:

MagicISO Virtual CD/DVD-ROM (MagicDisc) in its place

Using MagicISO to create ISO image files

I've never had AMD Overdrive installed in my computer, or at least it doesn't show up in my uninstall under control panel.

I installed it and uninstalled it using Revo thinking it would clean up some of the files, however when I go into device manager AODDriver and AODDriver4.01 are still listed under non-plug and play drivers. Should I uninstall these files from this screen?

I have performed all other recommendations, and also reinstalled my video card drivers just in case.

Edit: Hey Guys, got impatient and googled it, just uninstalled both from the device manager, so I believe that's everything.

Issues

Hey All,

I attempted running Memtest86 and my system actually locks up while running it periodically (cursor still flashes, and this happens at random intervals).

Everything is set to stock so I have no idea what it could be. Does anyone have any ideas?

Just so you have an idea of what my system specs are:

Gigabyte 970A-D3 MOBO (BIOS is F6)
750W ZT OCZ PSU
AMD FX8150 Bulldozer
4 x 4GB Kingston Hyper X Genesis DDR3 1333MHz RAM
2 x Sapphire Radeon 6870 HD Crossfired

Hello,

Try removing all the other sticks and testing each one individually. If you find one that causes Memtest to lock up or show errors, you've found your culprit!
