Lately I've been getting a "Display driver has stopped responding" warning on desktop for light applications.
On any game, whether running on low graphics (less power) or not, it will suddenly go Black and restrart my PC, then it will get to a BSOD after the windows loading logo is finished, forcing me to do a system repair which then lets me log back into windows. I don't know what's going on.

Included is my dump file using the forum diagnostics tool. Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi rspkers,

DRIVER_VERIFIER_DETECTED_VIOLATION (c4)
A device driver attempting to corrupt the system has been caught. This is
because the driver was specified in the registry as being suspect (by the
administrator) and the kernel has enabled substantial checking of this driver.
If the driver attempts to corrupt the system, bugchecks 0xC4, 0xC1 and 0xA will
be among the most commonly seen crashes.

Please stop Driver Verifier from running and disable if you have not done so already.

A lot of your crashes are related to your NVidia Video drivers.

Please update to the latest driver:

If the latest driver still causes crashes uninstall and reinstall the following driver:

Also remove Tuneup utilities 2012 from your system as it is not needed in Windows 7.
If you need a registry cleaner, you could use CCleaner:

Please remove Avast Anti-virus from your system as this is causing issues:

For your AV please install Microsoft Security Essentials.

Recommended from a strict BSOD perspective, compatibility & stability
compared to other antiviruses/internet security software. And has a very small footprint.

Ensure you have all the latest Windows updates installed.

Post back any progress or post another SF Diag log if you experience another crash after you have carried out all the updates.

Cheers

Dave

Problem still persists, updated dump included

Hi Dave, Thank you for your suggestions. I carried out everything you've suggested I do, however I recieved the same crash just today. I'm attaching an updated dump from just a few minutes ago.

Thank you!

Edit: Strangely, it did not seem to make a dump file, however, it is listed in event viewer as the same kernel-power critical error.

It is genuine.
They aren't viruses. They are false positives. I have no viruses on my computer atm.

The microsoft security essentials you suggested removed all of these items when it finished, so it is not a problem. More importantly, my problem is with the black screen, I do not have any errors or issues with the genuinity of windows.

I have a problem posting sensitive information, and understanding how either are related. Mostly because the information you want posted does not state whether it is genuine or not. Seems fishy to me. Included is a screencap of windows being genuine.

That is not what i requested, that tells me nothing. Ive just plucked this one from google.

I have asked you to provide infomation which you are very reluctant to do. Many people
seeking help on this forum post the Genuine Activation logs everyday in order to recieve help:

Windows Updates & Activation - Windows 7 Support Forums

So there is no harm in providing the logs nor is there any sensitive infomation passed.

http://www.sevenforums.com/windows-...ne-activation-issue-posting-instructions.html

I am unable to help you further until I can verify your installation.

A google copy paste won't have the transparency showing the thread underneath the window. You're more or less suggesting I professionally photoshopped it in 30 secs- 1 minute which is impossible.

That aside, your interest went straight from those "viruses" and the nature of them, to requiring something that gives a whole list of unique IDs specific to my PC. So you'll understand why I'll pass on that.

That being said, thanks for the help, but I think I'll look elsewhere now.
