BSOD playin WOW, error 0x00000101 notskrnl.exe

Hi guys,

i have been quite patient over the last year with my computer slowley getting worse and worse however today has been a joke.

So i own a Alienware M17x, and while playing WOW or ARMA, the game is freezing so not even giving me a blue screen however mouse freezes in position and only solution is holding power button for 5 seconds to reboot.

Now ive saved my crash dump files i think correctly and i have given a screenshot from blue screen view as to what is goin on. Now i am not a computer genius and have been skimming over some of these posts and alot are quite indepth talking about coding etc. So please be gentle when explaining this <3

Try upgrading your graphic card driver

i have updated driver and BIOS software today. The BSOD have stopped (for now) however i am still getting a popup in notification box telling me that Windows KERNEL Version 320.49 has stopped working but has recovered.

Try this

Click rb: → Control Panel → NVIDIA Control Panel → Expand 3D Settings → Set PhysX configuration. At the select a PhysX processor, by default the Auto-Selected (recommended) setting is selected. Click on the drop down menu, select your graphic card and click the Apply button to confirm the changes

You could also try to do a clean install of the Nvidia driver

thankyou so much for the time to help out, i have reinstalled the latest graphics driver through the Nvidia Website, for the GTX 675M.
And have changed the Pyhsx To my actualy graphics car not the auto selct button. I will keep you updated if i get another blue screen and repost the dump files if it occurs again

hey, unfortunatley it happened again today another BSOD .....Now it happened as i looged in to WOW, and i managed to get a screenshot of the error that came up about 2-3mins before the BSOD this error has happened a bit because as you log in the game freezes for 1-2 seconds then alt tabs and tabs back in, like a refresh.

Now since this latest BSOD, it automatically restarted my computer, however on the restart the NVIDIA graphics card settings are gone when you right click on the DESKTOP and the computer also started back in safe mode with 800x600 res when it started back up. Im now totally lost with this

Have now had two BSOD in two days both the exact same fault code dxgkrnl.sys, what is happening! now another completly different fault....
