Hi everyone,

First of all, my PC specs

EVGA GT430 1gb DDR3
4 gb RAM (2x 2gb)
ASUS M2N68-AM PLUS (NVIDIA Geforce 7025/nForce 630a)
500gb HDD Samsung (SATA)
AMD Athlon II 640 4x 3.1ghz
Windows XP 32-bit
BenQ DVD+-DL burner (SATA)
LG DVD ROM (IDE)

The problem is that when I try install Windows 7 or even Vista, While rebooting up after part installation, the BSOD shoots out, with a ACPI error and when I disable ACPI 2.0 it shows another BSOD.

I'm sure it's the BIOS of the mobo, because I've read lots of ASUS mobos with this problem.
But I also think it maybe the HDD; On other OS eg. XP, it shows 128gb available, so i have to use partition magic to recover the rest.
So if an of you could help with this problem it would be great.
I can install all other O.S. on this PC.
I've installed XP 32 and 64 bit, Ubuntu aswell.
And I've tried wiping the HDD completely with Dariks boot and nuke (dban) and then installing, still no luck.

If there is anything else you need just post here or email me, I will get back to you ASAP.
Thanks

Make sure you have the latest BIOS update. If so, Reset CMOS: Clear CMOS - 3 Ways to Clear the CMOS

While in BIOS setup set SATA controller to AHCI mode to try install. Remove all but one HD and all peripherals, physically uninstall any floppy drive and unplug your CD drive.

Where did you get Win7? Confirm ISO integrity, burn another with ImgBurn at 4x speed. If this fails write to flash stick using Universal USB Installer with Win7 in dropdown menu, boot under USB, Removable or HD's. Unplug the DVD drive while trying this.

Remove all but 2gb RAM to try install, swap RAM sticks, test RAM: RAM - Test with Memtest86+

Next test your HD with maker's HD Diagnostic extended CD scan.

When I run out of time to troubleshoot failing installs I move the HD to another computer plugged in alone to install, then SysPrep it before returning to target machine where it will start up to reinstall all drivers, requesting several restarts: SysPrep to move HD to another computer
