BSOD Random after Startup

Post here about a month ago with BSOD after coming out of a sleep....Updated various drivers then no longer put pc in sleep/hibernate mode. Turn PC on/off when finished....no problems until today....


Yesterday downloaded and used Vivaldi 64 bit experimental Beta.....not sure if that could be the cause....


Any help/suggestions appreciated...

Thanks...went to the link...but they didn't have the 64bit driver for Dell 1705....(the download link was blacked out)


Tried program Driver Max and updated through their program.....


Lets see what happens.....many thanks for you help....will post back with results......

OK. A word of caution : be very careful with Driver Max, I have seen it cause problems too. Does the Dell site provide drivers?

Actually went to the Dell site and after entering my service tag had a list of driver updates for my PC....however, had just downloaded a small driver from the site and was advised that my PC already had the latest driver. Dell showed the Dell Blue Tooth driver at 282 mb download size...Thought that was way too large...so i went with Driver Max which downloaded the DBTooth driver in under 3 minutes.....So far so good...The device manager shows the latest version. i don't have much faith in the Dell site .....all the driver downloads there seem way too large...i don't think they are really checking my PC which was purchased in 2013.

Since my problems with the BSOD started using Slim Drivers, Driver Max, Driver Talent and to me the best with the most info Driver Boost 3. Usually check all of them before downloading a driver and only after posting in the forums and advised to update. Driver Talent gives the best advice on their download page "If you computer is functioning properly don't update your drivers".....If it ain't broke don't fix it sounds like good advice to me....

So far all is well.....and will post again after a couple of weeks...or another BSOD pops up....

No worries, just be careful with Slimware etc. - use them as a very last resort to locate drivers that your OEM doesn't provide for.
