I've attached the Minidump file. Can anyone help?

I don't seem to be doing anything in general when it happens. Sometimes when I get up in the morning it has rebooted and yesterday and today it did it, once while I was looking at Safari (evaluating it, not all that hot, by the way...) and today while I was looking at some files in Explorer. None seem related. The "The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck" error is in the logs.

Way too many old drivers. Clean install recommended instead of the upgrade you did.

Problem solved.

Heh, that's not the answer I wanted to hear. This machine started with Vista 2.5 years ago, never had anything earlier on it. I really don't have the time at the moment to do a clean install and set everything back up the way I want it. Is there one specific driver you can see from the minidump that is causing the problem? I plan on getting a new machine in 2010, so redoing this one isn't an efficient use of my little free time. Thanks for all your help...

On a side note, what do you use to read the minidump?

Hey, I took a look at the 26 "old" files, 12 of them are for a Roxio burner I still use, and the other ones are mostly identifiable (tablet drivers, Lyra driver, Sysinternals files, etc.) There are a few I can remove, but if you could tell me what file is causing the problem, that would be great.

Yeah, it's old and not the best, but it mostly works!
Well, I discovered on my own that it was "Google Updater" that was causing the crashes. I looked in the logs and exactly one second after this program started, the PC crashed. It was not old drivers, but it was a good chance for me to examine my drivers. Thanks for the help!

(Now I am playing with my new toy, an Ubuntu laptop. Ubuntu is not quite the Windows killer the fanboys say, but it's getting close, real close...)
