Recently I had some issues with my Sony Vaio and found bad sectors within my HDD, and in doing so had a new HDD installed by technicians and my user profile transferred to my new HDD, but since receiving my laptop back I am now getting crashes after a couple of hours of extensive use where BSOD appears for a mere second before attempting to reboot but failing to find an operating system. From here I must power down my laptop forcefully then reboot again before it will find an OS. How do I stop these crashes from occurring?

Added an attachment of the dump Files.

Enabled Dumps - New Dump file

Thankyou Laith,

Yesterday I believe I managed to enable memory dumps but did not have any crashes until around a half hour ago. I will attach the new memory dump that was collected from this crash. Alas I was unable to snag a picture of the BSOD as the computer attempted to restart far too quickly. So I have disbaled Auto Restart in the Advanced System Settings.. Would this help for next time?

Many Thanks, Aids

Hi Aidskelton,

Unfortunately, there are still no dump files.

Please make sure your system files are fine.
Please do the following:
  • Open an admin command prompt
  • Copy/paste "sfc/scannow" (without quotes) and press enter
  • When it finished reboot your system
  • Open again an admin command prompt
  • Enter sfc/scannow again
If sfc/scannow does NOT say "Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violation", please upload the cbs.log file located at {windows partition}\Windows\Logs\CBS\, if the file is too large try a 3rd party uploader like dropbox, onedrive, google drive, mediafire etc.
System File Check(SFC a.k.a. Windows Resource Protection) needs to have your system rebooted in order for sfc to try to fix the problems that it finds.

BSOD Message, SFC Results

I have no idea why it isnt generating Dump Files, I Went through every step but hasnt seemed to have worked. So I ran SFC, Rebooted and Ran SFC again but to no prevail (Had tried this previously but thought trying again wouldn't hurt) Just tells me Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations.
But, I just had another crash and managed to snap a picture of the BSOD message, so maybe that will help generate a solution?
