BSOD upon exiting sleep 0X00009086 Memory Dump failed

That Disk Check method doesn't work. As sfc /scannow has revealed, autochk.exe is corrupted.

I was able to (finally) run a disk check by going into repair mode and running it through the console.

As for the original sleep issue, I think I am going to call it quits. Thank you for all the help.

Could you please upload the .CBS log of disk check? The hard-drive problem could be also the cause of the sleep issue.

The file itself is 1 megabyte over the uploading limit. Which parts of it should I delete to reduce the file size?

Place the file into a zipped folder, and then try and upload the file.

There seems to be a few errors in your .CBS log, the autochk.exe seems to have a file hash mismatch, this could be due to a updated version being released, as shown here - autochk.exe corrupt windows 7 x64 pro - Microsoft Community

The other errors indicate that your backing store may be corrupt. This could be due to a failing or problematic hard-drive, since the VSS is stored on a block.

Indeed, the event log often shows errors about the VSS failing.

So, if my hard drive is faulty, what should I do?

Is the hard drive under warranty? You could contact Dell Support for a replacement.

It is. I'll think about it and whether it is worth the trouble at this point.

Thank you for all of the help.
