Hello All,

So today I attempted to install the latest Nvidia Driver from their official website. While the installation process was being carried out my monitor went to sleep (no signal from the computer) and never came back, even though my pc was still running. So after waiting for a while I manually restarted the computer (power button) and booted in safe mode. Here I was met with a problem signature that included this information:

Problem Signature
Event Name: Blue Screen
OS Version 6.7601.2.1.0.768.3
Locale ID:1033

Additional Info
BCCode: 116
BCP1: FFFFFA80105FA010
BCP2: FFFFF8800738D19C
BCP3: 0000000000000000
BCP4: 0000000000000002
OS Version: 6_1_7601
Service Pack: 1_0
Product: 768_1

I also have a dump file in my minidump folder (062515-21091-01.dmp) but I couldn't figure out how to attach it.

Another strange thing is when I restarted windows normally after checking the problem dxdiag.exe and GeForce experience both say that the new 353.30 driver was installed correctly and is running. Thank you so much to anyone reading this and trying to help, let me know if you need any more information.

Thanks,

nwinjum

No problems mate we all have other things to do.
Now in the latest dumps - and thanks for the files by the way - there is a problem with the graphics namely the driver for the NVidia.
However I am finding it very hard to track down this driver you need - don't use the Windows feature because it is fairly weak. What you can do is use the auto detect option from this link Drivers | GeForce

Now if you can verify the brand of that GPU it might make things a little easier because the NVidia site as you will see does not list the 700 and the Asus site is pathetically useless. I will await your reply.

It is a GIGABYTE GEFORCE GTX 770, specifically the 4096MB GDDR5 version. The Nvidia site is where I downloaded the GeForce Game Ready Driver-WHQL Version 353.30.

Ok I was looking for the GTX 700 which I thought I saw in your specs but I must have misread it the driver for this from Gigabyte is GIGABYTE - Graphics Card - NVIDIA - PCI Express Solution - GeForce 700 Series - GV-N770OC-2GD

It might be an idea to uninstall the original first then reinstall tis one from your downloads. (I keep Downloads on my desktop for convenience > Start > type downloads > send to desktop) but that is your choice.

There is also this if you want it I find it handy too but lets get that driver fixed first.

If I am a little tardy in replying it is because I am at work and only have a few minutes now and then to answer
