I've tried two different BT adapters. The headphones get detected but I can't get any sound through them.
Configuration:

Windows 7 Ult 64-bit Service Pack 1
32GB RAM
MOBO ASRock 970 Extreme 3

I've tried two BT adapters. The one there now is manufactured by Cambridge Silicon Radio. The other just shows up as GenericAdapter. the first time I plugged in the Cambridge one, I went to do the music and it did sit there for a minute, but then went right back to acting like there was nothing there. Under audio devices, there is a Bluetooth Headset and Bluetooth Headphones, but both always read as disconnected. Whenever I install the devices, I check all of the options when I install it. Is there something that I am missing in order to get this to work?

Hello kruuth,

Last time I saw BT headsets with no sound was when the bluetooth adaptor had a different BT version to the headset. The BT adaptor needs a version of at least the same or higher, as the headset. Does that help?

Makes sense, I can take a crack at it. Shouldn't be an issue.

Ok, just plugged a new BT 4.0 driver in. According to Aftershokz, I need BT 3.1 or higher. They still do not show up in the sound options, just the two BT headsets but both of those are greyed out.

I tried setup forwarding VoIP calls. That failed.

Had you re-paired the devices by Right-click the BT icon (in the systems tray) and choose “Add a Bluetooth Device” from the context menu.

I just tried re-pairing the device. It connects, but when I go to the operations option and choose "Listen to Music" it doesn't do anything. Forwarding VOIP calls fails.

In Window's Sound settings, Playback tab, does your device show up?
If so, click it, and then choose Set Default.

This will set the Bluetooth device as the default audio device.
