That not all the bad compared to what it was like back in the 1960 when their was no buses just Jeepneys.
Back then Jeepneys went what ever direction they wanted to go on what ever side of the road they wanted to use at that time.
In Subic Bay/Olongapo their were Jeepneys all over the place. They seldom had wrecks. They had spent so much money on the paint jobs they really didn't want to hit anything.
I spent some time there because I was home ported there on the USS Perch APSS-313.
Ask some of the older folks how traveling in Jeepneys was back in those days.

They were originally old WW II jeeps converted to public transportation.

I still have a Bolo knife given to me by a Negrito friend I had. He wanted to take me to his home up in the mountains but my Captain would not allow that to happen.
I have a lot of found memories of the Philippines and their people.
