Can I filter my total gmails on alpha character like all starting A le

There are so much mails of late from individual parties sending unwanted or unsolicited contents and links.I want to filter all mails with A, B etc

You can filter Emails like Search. Search results usually return matches that contain your match criteria, rather than begins with your match criteria.

For regular unwanted emails, I usually click on "Unsubscribe" within the Email itself, but some folk would not even open unwanted Email.

Are you requesting how to set the default email in Edge to Gmail?
If so:

Windows 7 and 8
Select Start
Control Panel
Programs
Default Programs
Associate a file type or protocol with a program
choose MAILTO under Protocols
Select the browser you want to use for Gmail.
(note: default programs is often listed in the Start menu on the right side, shorter than going through Control Panel)

is there a way to filter email based on from...
all emails starting with A alphabet, B alphabet , etc..
nowadays, i am receiving so mcuh mails , so i want to just select all A one day and delete what are the not wanted emails .
There must be some way,
