Can i play Assassin's Creed 2 on a Dual Core 1.65ghz with 4ghz memory?

I would like to know before doing something on my Laptop, I would like to play Assassin's Creed 2 which has the minimum requirements below...

Minimum:
OS: Windows XP (32-64 bits) /Windows Vista(32-64 bits)/Windows 7 (32-64 bits)
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo 1.8 GHZ or AMD Athlon X2 64 2.4GHZ

And also, i would like to add Dragon Age Origins...minimum requirements below...

Which of these games can run on my laptop?, even on lower settings? here is my system specs...

Unfortunately your laptop is simply not a games machine.

Both the CPU and GPU are very weak.

You might me able to play DA:O - with low details and heavy combat will bog it down, but performance for AC2 would be horrible. Not worth it.


Also, looking at minimum specs for games is a bad way to judge. Minimum literally means enough to install and run at a few fps. That's considered running. To have a decently playable, (above 20FPS, not a permanent slide show etc) Above minimum and below max is what you need to look at.

Agreed, if you're looking to find out if you're able to run a game and play it on your system, you should be looking at the recommended specs and not the minimum specs. No game is worth playing at minimum system requirements. That just means it won't crash when you try to boot it up. To actually run the game you'll be needing more. The recommended specs is a good measure of whether or not you can play. You can be a bit above or below recommended, but never rely on minimum specs to decide if you want to buy a game or not.

There is nothing worse than wasting time installing a game, salivating while doing, getting to the game's option and changing things around so only to find out that what you got going is the slow-slide-from-hell!

well tnks for the reply, but i think i will try Dragon age because i saw a video in youtube which has the same specs as mine, the only difference is the model and the machine, he's running 32bit while im running 64bit. He did play games like crysis, assassin creed 1 etc... of course a lot of people commented on his channel, asking about what did he do to his machine, as i remember he's response was im using a game booster something like that to run these games... which i think will help a bit... and also i forgot to mention that i have a dedicated video memory of 384mb which i think capable of running games that required only 256mb or below video graphics...

Well, I for one believe his channel is a hoax or he's just trying to get his 15 minutes of fame (at least with that video) and don't believe Gamebooster is a miracle worker but hey... no harm in trying, right? More so if you are dead set into doing it!

Totally a hoax. Game boosting programs are next to useless on modern PCs. They did do some marginal good several years ago when they were first released, but thanks to the new operating systems, processing power, and available memory they've been reduced to useless cons similar to those 'Make your PC run faster' scam programs that target ignorant older computer users with a fake list of infections the PC doesn't have and charges an arm and a leg to do nothing but run a registry cleaner and a one time virus/malware sweep while installing buttloads of Adware and browser hijacking toolbars on your PC at the same time.

Put simply, it's a waste of time and more often than not such programs will actually slow your games down and at the very least will not make them run any better. You're better off just opening your Task Manager and shutting down a few processes before booting up a game. That's all game boosters do anyway and they keep running in the background negating any good they might have done by shutting down other processes in the first place.

At best it might give you a small framerate boost [2-5 fps maybe], but it's not going to be the difference between a game running well or not. If it's going to run well, it's going to run well whether you run a gamebooster or not. If it's going to run like crap, it's going to run like crap with or without a boosting program.

Save your time and money is my advice.

No assassins creed will not run well with that processor, it had little lag issue on my old althon ii x4 640 cpu chip that I use to run which is a quad core, I had to clock it up to 3.3 (3.0 being stock) for it to run fine and not stutter. The graphics card is pretty weak too, it might run but it will lag trust me, 20fps tops maybe or less. Also laptops have limits, I tried running the first assassins creed on my friends laptop with low specs but it lagged and would get like 14fps or so with everything on low and look like a slideshow if we put any higher settings.
