Solved Can I rely on the existing bios settings when doing a new install of 7

Hello Greg,

I think I need to re-assure you that I am indeed following your every piece of advice, and shall not depart from it. I have downloaded drivers, not because I mistrust professional experience but it's just the way this uncertain old man's mind thinks. Believe me, there is no chance of me doing, or attempting to do anything contrary to which both yourself and your colleagues advise. As a footnote perhaps, I have printed in full your instructions and shall adhere to them.. to the letter.

Thanks for your help,

Illiterate.

Hello,

My apologies for not getting back to you sooner. In the interim period I was presented with a Compaq to clean up and by my reckoning there is about 20 gig left for cleaning, but I'm not sure where to go from here (using CCleaner etc.). Anyway, I finally got round to this new install and followed the advice of the site experts to the letter.. it was an absolute walk in the park, no problems, no need for drivers.. no need for anything..turned out just as you said it would. There shall obviously be several issues where I need your advice in the future (deleting 20 gig on the compaq possibly) but for now may I say a great big thankyou to all the experts who helped and thanks for a fantastic site.

Thankyou.
