can i sli two nvidia gtx 295 on a ASUS P5E3 Deluxe Wi-Fi motherboard.

hi guys, im back. need help again. i ve got a asus p6t deluxe mobo with i7 975 extreme cpu. i ve downloaded the sli-patch which installed and updated with a reboot but when i downloaded the hypersli. its saying cant get info from boot. i ve checked the bios and theres nothing there for me to enable sli. could you help me please. i have the two gtx 295 cards. thanks

hey, not sure what sli patch you installed but on that motherboard you need nothing more than the official nvidia drivers. There is no need for sli patches or hyper-sli of any kind. Install windows, install the latest drivers and you have sli.


Edit- Also make sure you have connected the two cards with the supplied SLI bridge

That board supports SLI. No hacks required.

I believe that there's nothing in the BIOS concerning SLI. It'd only be in the nVidia control panel.

If you have the cards in the recommended PCI-E slots (see your manual, or download one from support.asus.com), and you have the SLI bridge in place, seems like it ought to work.

Not shore if you done the basic everyone should check sli steps, if not here they are:

Firt take the new drive you downloaded from nvidia website, run it, but select advanced options, then select "clean install" this will remove all other nvidia drivers and possable problems, then it will install normally, reboot then you need to enable it in your nvidia controll pannel, right click on desktop, open the controll panel, then go to "select 3D settings" then select "set sli configiration" then just select the point that said enable sli technology (depending on your motherboard, it might say something as enable 3d advance) but itherway, when this is enabled it will show the two cards as linked, and a green sli bar will show up.

Not shore if this will help, but maybe it got disabled after you installed hyper sli. :huh:
