Hello all
I am not sure if this belongs here or in the web browser section.

Fresh Win 7 Pro 64 bit install on a Lenovo laptop. It went fine and worked at my house and I did all the updates and installed TeamViewer. Everything worked flawless here, I sent it home for mom to try. She can ping in a CMD box but can not search in a browser and I can not connect to Team Viewer. Windows updates works and AT&T network client can get out to the network and let you browse. I have searched and read and searched and tried various things. She can't use ethernet or WiFi and they powered off the modem and router and retried. Numerous PC restarts and still no luck. I can not get to Team Viewer under any circumstance.

Any suggestions?

TIA!!!!!

Welcome to the Seven Forums.

Thanks for the good write up.

Can she take the laptop to another network and test?
Starbucks, library, neighbor...

A neighbor might be the best option. It sounds like she knows how to connect a LAN cable between the laptop and a router port. That should be relatively easy to do at a neighbor's home. That way, she does not have to bother with a Wi-Fi key.

If she can connect/surf via another network, then we know to concentrate on her network settings and not the laptop.

I cannot imagine what could have happened to the laptop between your home and hers, but testing the laptop elsewhere should tell us something about its current state.
