Can you install win 7 home edition off the disc's made with windows 7 on the computer to restore or an image disc or do you need a actual win 7 install disc?

How do I get the product key for the software discs made on that computer?

Can u take disc's from a different computer and install on another one ?

2. In that case you do not need a product key. It is part of the image or restore disc.

3. You can take a disc from a different computer. In that case you need the product key from your COA sticker. That is on the bottom of a laptop or on the back of a desktop.

i'm having problem with laptop and parts all test ok, but it freezes and blue screens and says the wireless internet card is loose? But this is not true. This happens quite often after window upgrades. I run Malware etc and find pup virus's and delete them, etc and then it may work an 1/2 hour before crashing and usually while tasking the unit such as internet or opening programs.

So I assume I cannot tell if software or mechanical problem until I reformat and reinstall.

So if I make discs from this laptop and there is problem will the backups just reinstall the problem or does it verify the win 7 software when making the disc?

I assume the image is of the computer so if problem exists I imagine a image disc will just copy the problem and reinstall it?

Iam I wrong or have any suggestions.

What I would do is do a perfect Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7.

In preparation I would additionally test the hardware from Troubleshooting Steps for Windows 7, and wipe the HD before the actual install using Diskpart Clean Command from the booted installer Command Line. DISKPART At PC Startup

windows live mail does it back stored on th c drive or remotely with Microsoft.
if local what files do I need to back up before reformatting
