Have you spoken to your ISP about this problem?
It seems to indicate that the destination you are trying to send email to has blocked anything incoming from your IP or your ISP for some reason.

@snoozin75: I concur with ashleyg. After a few quick searches, it appears as though Bigpond has been having issues for a while (August 2012). I don't know exactly what the problem is (I'm not certain that they do either).

I suggest you contact Bigpond and tell them that your IP address is being blocked by Spamhaus XBL.

If they are unable to help you, try resetting your internet adapter ("ADSL or Cable modem") - that might give you a nrew dynamic IP addres which isn't affected by XBL.

Good luck.

I know you stated that your eMail has been working for nine months, but please double check your settings. I'm not familiar with Bigpond, but the message you received and the help page - settings don't seem to match.

In the msg -> Port 25, no SSL

In the help section -> Port 587, yes SSL

It also seems that they changed the servers for POP3 and SMTP.

Anyway, here's what I found - check your settings and hopefully that's all it is.
Confirm this with Bigpond before making any changes. I don't know what their Windows Live offering is. It looks as though you can click on the "Check now link" just above the Incoming settings - it's probably best to do that on their page, not from inside my post.

From Bigpond help settings:
