Cannot uninstall KB2923545 or several others

I have been having problems with my computer. I am getting strange errors so I read online to run sfc /scannow and have found errors (see attached CBS.Log and CheckSUR.log. I tried uninstalling some Windows updates that are reported to cause problems. I could uninstall a few but KB2923545 gives an error saying 'An error has occurred. Not all of the updates were successfully uninstalled'. I have tried in Safe mode but the same result. There are a couple of other updates which won't uninstall (KB3035583; KB2647753; KB2732487).

Any ideas on how to fix these problems?

An update on my problems. I decided to restore from a saved image file. So I backed up what I have, and then clicked the restart button which reboots into a 'DOS' type environment that doesn't recognize my keyboard or mouse (both wireless). So I go get an old USB keyboard and mouse (motherboard does not have PS2 ports) and try again. Windows doesn't recognize the USB keyboard or mouse. So I haven't been able to restore from a saved image.

I then tried to do a repair install following the directions found on these forums. I have a valid Win 7 home premium disk I bought years ago but it doesn't have SP1 on it so I thought I would download from MS the iso of Win 7 SP1 home premium. I went to the software recovery site, entered my key, was told it was valid and I just need to pick my language and download the file. Unfortunately, the only language available to choose is Korean. I don't think I can work in Korean so that seems to be the end of that.

I downloaded the Win 7 SP1 iso from Softpedia and burned it to a DVD. When I click on the setup.exe, I get an error message very quickly (0x800f0900). I can't seem to get that to work either. I did read that I may be able to hide my updates and the install might go forward.

All I want to do is fix what appears to be a corrupted install of Windows. It should not be this difficult. No wonder people are switching to Apple and Linux.

Another update:

I finally managed to restore from a system image I made in August. System seems stable now. Windows update still doesn't always work but I am trying the troubleshooter from MS to see if that can fix it.

Well done for getting the backup working (and for having one in the first place!)

If you're still having WU problems, post back with a new set of CheckSUR/SFC data and we'll see what we can do.
