I have a LenovoX121e Netbook, it has no CD/DVD drive. Recently it's been suffering from Pop-Ups, even though in Firefox I had block enabled. Anyway I guesssed it was some malware so ran both AVG Malwarebytes and Super-AntiSpyware, the only find was some PUPS related bugs, which I deleted. The issue however continued, so I then ran a CC registry clean and removed a couple of dubious looking files via Regedit.

I rebooted only to find that having logged in the welcome screen is flashing.

I hit F8 on reboot and trued 'Repair' the flashing issue continued

I then opened via Safe Mode and the same problem there.

Can someone please help as I am reaching the limit of my knowledge and experience and not being able to bot via disk do not know to to solve this. Thanks in advance

Built my first computer (8Mhz 8088cpu, 640K RAM, 20MB HDD, 2 360K floppy drives) in 1985 and have been building them for myself, relatives and friends ever since.
Your netbook can most likely boot from USB which means you could use an external dvd drive (here's one for $14 - http://compare.ebay.com/like/251228445488?var=lv<yp=AllFixedPriceItemTypes&var=sbar) or you could create a bootable usb thumb drive from which you could do a repair install. However, you would need another computer to be able to create the thumb drive.
