Can't close windows?!

Hello all. I just "upgraded" to 7100. None of the red X's as in closing windows are working? In fact, I can't minimize, maximize, or close windows. Anybody have any idea?

try a clean install. IMO.

Make sure you got a good .ISO There are some corrupted ones out there. You might try another one. Sounds pretty bad if you can't even close windows. Good luck.

I sorta fixed it. It has something to do with the watermark removals patch doing damage to a user32 file. I'm not sure how, but I got most of the functionality back by restoring the file. My Kaspersky virtual keyboard isn't working as input, but that could be related to other things.

The upgrading route has been a bit of a bugbear for win7, so my advice is to always clean install.
