Installed a new copy of windows Today - I believe I had this error before I installed a fresh copy as well.

Big changes made to the system:
Moved & Junctioned: "Program Files", "Program Files (x86)", "ProgramData", "Users" to another drive.

Here you can see the Error codes: 8007001, 9C59

Been searching google for ever, and right after I posted a thread here, I decided to make one last search. What do you know: Found the solution right away.

How to fix Windows Update error 80070011 | Vilkku.org

According to this website the reason for why windows failed to update is my junction.
It is still trying to put the files into the location specified by the registry, and does not follow the junction link I had sat up.

As you may have guessed the solution is to go into the registry and edit a few keys.
I am going to write up a little step-by-step guide to how I did it. Hopefully other people can find this solution. Keep in mind that this is basically a rip-off from the website above, and all credit goes to the original author.
Also fair warning: fiddling around in the registry can ruin your computer - Be cautious.

Guide

Open regedit (windowskey+r -> type: regedit)
Locate "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion"
Double click Current version folder

Change all the keys with "C:\" in front to the drive where you have relocated your program files folder to.
In my case "C:\" is exchanged with "V:\"
Like so:

You can now install the remaining updates.
Once you're done, and have restarted you can choose if you want to revert the reg. keys to it's original state. I did.
