I just had to reinstall Windows 7 on my 2012 Toshiba laptop (running a 64-bit Win 7 OS). I did it without using the DVDs from Toshiba but by hitting F12 during the power-up to select my boot options. In 2019 I also had to reinstall Win 7 I did a previous reinstall 2018, but then I had to do it by using the DVDs that I obtained from Toshiba. Both times the reinstall wiped the contents of the HD before beginning the procedure.
During the 2019 reinstall it sure seemed like some newer versions of a lot of the stuff was installed that I don't recall installing in 2018. And during the 2019 reinstall, the update process seemed to take about an hour less that it did during the 2018 install. Can anybody tell me why?
