Nice Tip. PC Plus did a piece on Windows 7 in issue 288 which gave some tips to improve performance and change the login screen.

But they had a much better and safer method instead of going into the Registry Editor yourself just go to Tweaks.com Logon Changer for Windows 7 and there is a free tweaking utility that will do it for you. Including resizing the image.
