Solved Clean Install hangs at "Completing installation"

Current Operating System, pre-install
• Do you have a single OS on your computer, are you planning on multi-booting with this installation? Single OS
• Are you multi-booting now? No
Current Hardware
• How many internal hard drives (HD) are connected to your system? 2 (1x250G, 1x1TB. OS to be installed on 250G drive)
• Are they IDE or SATA? Both SATA, but configured as IDE (Enhanced) in BIOS.
• How many DVD drives are connected to your system? 1xLG4166 DVD Drive
• Are they IDE or SATA Drives? DVD Drive is IDE
• Any external HDs used? None
• Are they connected by USB or eSATA? Not Applicable
• Check Disk Management for any HDs listed with a yellow triangle and explanation point? All Clear, 100% ready
• Is this a New Clean HD? No
• Have you pre-formatted the HD? No, though have hit "Format" from the Advanced Options in the install process.
Windows 7 installation details
• Which build number and version of Windows 7 are you installing? Win 7 Pro x64 SP1. Not sure of build number.
• Are you installing a 32 bit (x86) or 64 bit (x64) OS? x64
• Where did you get the ISO file from? OEM DVD
Installation Media
• Using a USB memory key? No
• From another partition or hard disk? No
• From a DVD? Yes. Genuine OEM copy - sealed in box.
Other
• Any Over Clocking of the RAM, CPU or GPU? No overclocking whatsoever.
* Motherboard: ASUS P5KC
BIOS: v1203 (latest version)
All other PC specs are listed under "My System Specs"

I have read through all the threads, spent many hours trying the numerous 'fixes', still to no avail. Next thing to try is to remove the second HDD.
Any other suggestions/assistance will be grealty appreciated.

SOLVED!

I removed the second hard-drive (1TB WD Caviar), set SATA to "Compatible" in BIOS and voial! Presto! Done!

Where did you get the WIn7 installer? Did you burn the DVD yourself?

I'm not sure how but I was messing around with my SATA settings in bios and made it works ones, it crashed again I have the same issue came up again, I tried the clean all command but it still hangs in finalizing installation.

See if there is a newer BIOS update. If not reset BIOS to defaults.

What is the current SATA controller setting? Try AHCI first, then IDE mode.

Next try entering Device Manager during final phase to disable any devices which are in error to see if installation will complete, then enable and update driver from desktop: Device Manager - Access During Windows 7 Installation

Remove all but 2gb RAM to try install. Swap your RAM sticks checking for debris in slots. Test your RAM - Test with Memtest86+ for 6-7 passes

Next test your HD with maker's HD Diagnostic extended CD scan, followed by Disk Check
run from installer's Command Line accessed by pressing Shift + F10 at first screen. Use installer to create a full disk partition to run Disk Check.
