computer does not connect

I recently just bought an ACER Aspire 4745G with pre-installed Windows 7 Home Premium. In my office, I have great internet connection with "linksys" as the name of the WiFi connection. It works great. It doesn't have any security encription so it's available for everyone to use...

Now my problem starts here: when I go home, I have another linksys router also with the name "linksys", also without any security enabled. It is aproximately 4 meters away, with only the door of my room separating me and the router. Problem is, my laptop won't even connect. It SHOWS but does not connect... AT ALL!

I tried to troubleshoot the connection option by windows but it doesn't help at all (i'm not surprised by this actually). I have also updated my Wireless LAN driver but it didn't help solve the problem. I have searched every link in google to check for solutions for this problem but found none so far that works.
I also tried turning off and on my wireless Lan card but still didn't help. Same goes for the router.

I want to use the "linksys" router in my home since my parents and my siblings use the same connection (and they are able to use it without problems...i'm kinda jealous actually).

additional info: Atheros AR5B93 updated to latest version 8.0.0.351 from 8.0.0.259 (yes...i found a driver update so I downloaded it but no luck still).

Please Help...

I have it all turned on. As I said earlier I can see it. My only problem is that it does not want to connect. If anyone had this same problem and have a solution please tell me. Even my brother is worried.

1) Go to Start and click Run.
2) Run window will appear. Type cmd and click OK.
3) command promt window will appear. Type ipconfig. You then will see the IP address and other network information of your network card.
4) Type ipconfig /release to release the IP address.
5) Finally type ipconfig /renew to get new IP address.
Might be a conflict because both networks are named the same you could try release and renew. That has work for me before but it was on a wired system. Good luck to you.
