Computer lockup during any task, no bluescreen

Over the past couple of days computer has been locking up seemingly randomly. Often during these times I have Star Wars: The Old Republic running. Computer could be acting fine before cursor stops moving, the sound glitches for a couple of seconds and then everything stops and the computer becomes unresponsive, forcing a restart to have it work again.

-On a side note, using the SF Diagnostic Tool, trying to collect Minidump returns error 'Unhandled exception has occured in your application', and I needed to go copy the minidump manually.

Try getting a hold of the previous nVidia drivers NOT 320.xx it's buggy as hell!
I recommend 314.22 :) .

When installing select "custom install" and check "clean install" , that should do it.

Downgraded to 314.22... first thing it did on start up was it crashed, so far expectations not super. But will see how it goes.

That's weird, if it bugchecks again post it!
Post back with an update of how things are going.

Problem persists, utterly no change when video drivers were changed. This time it was a lock up and generated no log.

Nevermind, it crashed this time. Reinstalled newest driver. Driver crashed after restart when doing literally absolutely nothing.

Computer still locking up. Screen would freeze, followed by about 3-5 seconds of the sound locking up, then everything freezes. Fans still run, but computer stays locked up until I forcibly restart.

Opened computer up, dusted, reseated the GPU. Computer locked up couple of hours later again regardless.

Reminds me of same problem I had a while ago with power, though I replaced the PSU with a stronger one. Could the PSU be faulty?

And another lockup. Temps at 45c, memory usage at 4 out of 8 gigs. CPU usage at 45%. Just not making sense why it is doing it.

Still locking up randomly...

Running more things. DXDIAG says the GPU has 4042 total memory. System has two sticks of 4 gig ram.

When I run CPU-Z, it says I have 1892MB of mem, but when I check graphics, it says I have 2047. Could this be related?

Try running memtest on each stick individually.
