Every time I power down my PC, it says "Installing update 10 of 16" and will never get past 10. I have left it on for 5 DAYS and it did't get past it. I have tried everything simple, such as restarting it, and it won't budge. This wouldn't be a big problem, because I don't really need those updates, but whenever I try to install something, such as Photoshop, it gives me an error saying "An installation is already in progress" and will not let me install what I want to. Does anybody know why this is happening, and how I can fix it?

I believe your firmware is corrupted, I would just backup important files and FDR it...

Hello Sex, and welcome to Seven Forums.

This has nothing to do with your firmware.

If you have not already, you might see if doing a system restore using a restore point dated before this started to hopefully undo and fix this.

Hope this helps for now, :)
Shawn
