Connection Issue

Hello everyone, I have a anoying issue with my Windows 7 Ultimate.
The problem is, every time I start up the computer or after a restart, the connected is, well its connected but still not.

The connection is very slow at start, and to get it back to normal i have to open the browser and open a few website and wait to get it running. After a few minutes its back to normal, but lately that doesnt seem enough either, since last week, sometimes I have to inactivate my network card in device center and activate it again, then it works.

My network card is Realtek RTL8168B/8111B and I have the latest Win7 driver installed.

Anyone got any clue what the Issue might be?
I did not have any of this issues on Win XP or Win Vista.

Thank you in advance
Regards

If I were you I would keep trying to fix this. If the problem isnt the card you may still have it.

Could you go into device manager (type device manager in search). go to the network adapters and see if they both are there. does either one have a yellow triangle over it? is there any unknown devices?]

Yes, I've solved it (sort of) don't update your drivers (use the original setup drivers from the Win7 install). If your've updated the drivers, roll back your drivers to the original, but I've had limited success doing that. Realtek need to addess the problems & update thier drivers. This problem has only surfaced with Win 7 RTM, I had no dramas with the RC's or the beta releases.

Just an afterthought. when you are up and running, you should turn off IPv6 in network and sharing. It has been shown to cause random connectivity problems

By both I meant wired adapter and wireless adapter

Yea, i have even installed the win7 only drivers but still no go.

After about 5 days of tearing my hair out (whats left of it) & 4 clean installs the only working Realtek setup I got is to leave the drivers alone (no windows update or Realtek drivers) & even then I've still got orange lights on my router (should be green), but it's working. I'm just waiting for Realtek to catch up.

Did you "reboot" your router or PC, if it was your router it seems to fix it for a while until you next reboot your PC then you'll be back to square one. Trust me I've been though all of it (including windows firewall)

After i reserved the IP to this PC, i tried everything, rebooted router, rebooted my PC like 10 times, the connection is definitly fixed!

Thats great! but I'm still not convinced (reserving an IP is to resolve conflicts between your network setup). Let us know your progress

Yes I have, With windows firewall on ventrilo wont open, with it off, ventrilo opens, so it defininitly must be the windows firewall.

Im using F-Secure as my antivirus.

Edit: I found the allowing programs on windows firewall and Ventrilo does already allow from home/private connection but not from public connection. Can it be that? Shall i allow it from public connection aswell?
