How to Pin the Control Panel to the Taskbar in Windows 7​

   Information
This will show you how to pin the Control Panel to the Windows 7 taskbar as a icon.


EXAMPLE: Control Panel Unpinned and Pinned from the Taskbar

OPTION ONE

To Pin Control Panel to Taskbar

1. Open the Control Panel.

2. Right click on the Control Panel icon on the taskbar and click on Pin this program to taskbar. (See screenshot below) Pin_to.jpg
3. When done, you can close the Control Panel.






OPTION TWO

To Unpin Control Panel from Taskbar

1. Right click on the Control Panel icon on the taskbar and click on Unpin this program to taskbar. (See screenshot below) Unpin.jpg

Excellent! I'm freeing up more desktop for those new taskbar addons. That was always one thing you couldn't pin there! What do you think of the new icon for that seen on the latest builds?



(It also saves the need for RocketDock as well. :D)

Looking good. Yeah, I find myself not needing RocketDock now with these items pinned to the taskbar now as well. :)

I use the RocketDock mainly in XP over Vista even since Vista has everything stuffed on the qiuck launch bar at the moment. :D That cleans up a real mess for both of those real fast! :roflmao:

Plus the RocketDock tool can be a real pain at times when you have an IE or other browser window open maximized and that pops up right when you are looking close by or taking a clip with the snipping tool. "rotten 3rd party annoyance!" :mad: Grrr... :D

The one thing tried here after ticking the show on desktop for the CP was to create a second shortcut and not being able to pin that onto the taskbar and no option to unblock on either!
