control panel pin

Another question now arises :
how do i change the icon ?
As i had a shortcut for CP copied to desktop, i could change the icon, but for this the option is obsolete.
I have also changed CP icon in iconpackager, but still get default icon only when opening CP through start menu.
Anyone knows which file is to be modified with restorator to change it ?
(it's the default icon in taskbar you get when opening CP)

Sometimes it takes awhile for it to kick in, don't know why. Have you tried logging off then back in, or rebooting? Or killing explorer.exe and restarting it?

In iconpackager the icon was still set to standard as it seemed. must have reverted it by mistake. then later on i changed the icons on the desktop simply by rightclicking, properties and must have forgotten i changed it in IP.
