Corrupt Hard Disk drive is causing error while win 7 installation

So heres my problem people,

I had an old seagate hdd with win 7 running smoothly.....
But somehow i corrupted it and threw it and had ordered a WD 1.5 TB HDD

I ran Win 7 installation disk and got an dialog box asking me to LOAD DRIVERS or HD on which to install Win 7

And now i am stuck very bad in the situation.....
I genrally need a thing which can correct my WD HDD or i think i will need to send it to the manufacturer....
But plzz help me

Check to see that the HDD is correctly connected to both the motherboard and power supply- double check the connections and try again.

Most likely a bad installation dvd, where did you get it from ? Is it retail, oem ?

No , Golden to by bad luck,
I have tried correcting wires but no luk....
AddRam is it possible that if i use another or new or a usb win 7 installation medium can that correct the error?

I have taken win 7 disc from my frnd......

Is the hard drive being seen in the bios ?

Um yeah isort of threw my seagate......

BUT THIS I AM TALKING ABOUT THE WD HDD

The OP has not said that it is an OEM Machine. Even if it is an OEM machine, one can install any Windows 7 Edition and the installation on a new HDD should go through without any problems. The problem will arise only when he tries to activate it. So right now it is not a problem with OEM or non-OEM.

The problem is either with the installation media or the new HDD. If the OP has bought it from a brick and mortar store, my advice would be to return it to the vendor, get a replacement and try installing.

If the problem repeats then 100% sure that the problem is with the installation media.

On the other hand, if the OP has to ship the HDD to a distant vendor at his cost, he may download the Windows 7 ISO, burn it and try to install. If it installs well and good. Problem resolved. If it does not, the OP has no other go except to get a replacement HDD even if it is to be shipped at his cost.

This is what I will do if I were resident in U.S.A.

check the boot sequence from bios, the first should be dvd drive, now you can set the second to be your new wd hard drive. about the dialog box, can't you just choose the hd when the installation ask for it? another possible cause is the hard drive needs to be partitioned as primary active first n formatted before proceeding with the seven installation.
