Custom Themes, Icons and Start Buttons.

Nice Icons Grim! Just wish I could use them :/

I'm running 7100 so I'm plagued with explorer crashes when I use the start menu, as well as a few other minor issues. Do you have any plans to release versions that are compatible with 7100?

I just realized about a minute or so ago that I could do that...the fix worked easily...maybe an addition could be made to the installer to automate the process or am I the only one that has ran into the problem?

This isn't a bug, the installer was never coded to do that bit.
(due to my lack of knowledge on where Win7 stores that bit of info for it!)
Mr GRiM kindly just included the 'extra' icon so folk didn't have just one yellow icon left on there screens.


The best I could do for now would be an compiled AutoIt script that does the 'sendkeys' stuff, but that way is a bit too flakey for my liking so I'm not going to do it that way.
(It wouldn't be worth the agro when things DO go wrong.)

The only other way for now would be to include a pre-patched explorer.exe with each pack and for each script to be edited to include it but that seem's a bit extreme just for one icon IMO.

I agree with you mate, I think the workaround for this is good enough, it takes less then a minute to fix so I don't think it's a big issue, what did you think of the new folders?

I agree with Blackrose that they will suite the darker themes more, although the Blue's work on quite a few dark'ish ones for me too.

thats your problem, you cant edit a 64 bit resource with Resource Tuner at this point.

Try Restorator or similar program

when they have finished their work.
Please restart ASAP after running, the scripts shutdown some services and
the only way to guarantee all is running again is to restart the system.

RE-INSTALLATION

The files can ONLY be installed then removed once without running the util
in the 'Data' folder called 'UninstallCleanup.cmd'.. this is a safety feature
to prevent the original files (once backed-up) being over-wrote.

Instruction are included for installing another icon pack, but basically all you need to do uninstall the black one first then delete the backup files (imageres.dll.bak and shell32.dll.bak) from system32 and also SysWOW64 if your using x64.

When searching the folders for the backup dll's the best way to locate them is to sort the folder by size and then they will both be near the top of the list.

Looks like you beat me to it, you can do that too but I still do everything the manual way.

Nice....I know this will sound like a chore Mr. GRiM but could we possibly get this icon set sans the Ultimate writing on the folders? Otherwise this is an impressive set thanks as always for sharing

Thanks guys, I might do this set with Gold on them as well and I could also do it without the ultimate text as well if you really want them, I am also going to upload these on Deviant Art as well if anyone wants them individually.
