Hey, I've seen some custom themes that looked nice, but I've been sceptical to it since XP after experiencing some performance drop on my old computer. makes much effect on the performance of the computer?

Sure any added graphic elements added will slow you down a bit. Depends mostly on your hardware. If your video card only has 256/512 it might. Also dependant on cpu.

My feeling use as much as you like untill you notice a slow down. win 7 is really good at this
