Custom themes vs. performance

Hey, I've seen some custom themes that looked nice, but I've been sceptical to it since XP after experiencing some performance drop on my old computer. I was just wondering if the custom themes and the additional programs required to use them like the one here: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorial...-themes.html?filter[2]=Appearance Personalize
makes much effect on the performance of the computer?

Sure any added graphic elements added will slow you down a bit. Depends mostly on your hardware. If your video card only has 256/512 it might. Also dependant on cpu.

My feeling use as much as you like untill you notice a slow down. win 7 is really good at this
