D3dx9_42.dll file is missing,Windows 7 32 bit with 8 gb Ram

My pc configration is Windows 7 32 bit with 8 gb Ram,1 TB HDD, ATI HD 5770 graphic card, MB-intel WX58BP..

i install some games like..hitman blood money,wolverine x-men origins,NFS-Hot persuit..
after install wen i start these games i recieve the same error message that D3dx9_42.dll file is missing from you computer..

Please help me out to solve this problem..iam beginner in these things so please guide me through this from the basics..

i just bought my pc 3 days before...but i didnt have internet connection at present..

So ,do we have any solution to this problem that dont require a net connection..??

if yes then pls assist me..right now im accessing net from my office..and i want to play these games Asap.

This package contains everything you should need and doesn't require an internet connection while installing. You need to download it from your office however.

Have you tried the dxsetup present in the various game setups you mentioned. It will help most of the times.

yes when i install these games..evrytime i have install dxsetup privided with the game but unfortunately i dont knw y that didnt work with them....

Look in your c:\windows\system32 folder and see if it is there.

yeah you might also wanna upgrade to win 7 64 bit, your on 32 bit which only allows 4 gb of ram to be used.
