delete an rtf file

Hadn't used wordpad for sometime. Recently opened wordpad and saved an .rtf file, removed the contents, but I can't find a way to delete the title (i.e. games.rtf).

I followed the path, removed games.rtf, but when I open wordpad again and click on Open - the file name shows in Recent Documents.
