I just bought a dell optiplex 755 ( Yea in 2014 ) :D

I just want to know what max Gpu i can run on it ?

Dont worry about the place in the case i can place it on desk or anywhere

i have a silverstone 5oow psu ( curently using the dell psu i.e. 280w i thnk)


* the processors bottlenecks i know that i just want to know that are there ny limitation by chipset or motherboard.

it has a pcie x16

cards like 550ti or 560ti ( will they get limited performance from anything else then a 1.8 core 2 duo ) < the real question

A bit confused here. Are you talking of case placement? What matters most is fitting a card inside the case -or at least, the card to the motherboard.

Use the Silverstone. The Dell PSU is way too limiting.

it has a pcie x16

All PCIE-E x16 cards are backwards compatible. Chipset does not come into it. For example, you could run a PCI-E x 3.0 GPU in your slot and it will work. They simply won't work at "full" capabilities. They will be limited to the motherboards slot speed.

If a 550ti/560ti can physically can fit into your case - then yes you can run one (provided you use the Silverstone PSU. The dell generic just isn't up to the job).
