please recommend a free or retail desktop manager for win7 which offers 4 virtual desktops

thanks buddy will it work with win 8 also becuase i have 2 laptops one 7 year old dell running win 7 and hp running win8 which is 1.5 years old

It should. The website says it works with Vista and later. I use it with Win 7.

One of the more typical ways I use it is with VirtualBox VMs. I'll open up a VM in Desktop 2 and maximize the VM window to fill the entire screen. I may also open a second VM in Desktop 3 and similarly maximize it. Then I can switch back and forth between Desktops 1, 2 and 3, and it's almost like having a KVM switch with three separate computers. It's really handy that way.

yes desktop manager is really useful in managing lot of application i wonder why MS didnt include this win7 & 8. no need to upgrade to win10

Sysinternals Desktops dont let me open many applications in virtual desktop 2, 3 an4

all these applications work fine in virtual desktop one

also there is no option to select different wallpaper for different virtual desktop
