Desktop stops responding.

When I close Internet Explorer 8(32bit) on Windows 7 x64, the desktop stops responding, I can't right-click, or none of the icons respond to clicking. The task bar still works ok. No error message appears. I have to log off and on again to get the desktop working normal again.

Any clues as to why this might be happening?

I have discovered that the problem is caused by the Adobe PDF Link Helper add-in. When I disable this Add-in using Mnage Add-ins in IE8 the problem goes away and all works normally. The Version of this Add-in is 9.3.2.163. Where do I find any updates to this add-in?
