Hi, I've had a Sony Vaio SVE14AA11M and it has been giving me a multitude of problems. I'll be creating other threads on other forums for the other problems, but this one regards a problem I'm having with the sound card.

The issue I'm having is that the pc does not recognize the sound driver. I've reinstalled the drivers and nothing.
When I go to "sound devices", it just says that the "Digital Audio(HDMI) High Definition Audio Device" is not plugged in. I've tried using headphones and still nothing.

P.S.: The sound icon in the taskbar shows a speaker with a red cross over it

The Digital Audio (HDMI) is for HDMI audio only. The PC audio would be something else, such as RealTek, Conexant, etc.
