My partner and I both have hotmail live email accounts. I had his emails forwarding to mine because he doesn't regularly check his. I set this up years ago and don't even remember exactly how I did it.

The last email to him that was forwarded into my email was on 13 May.

Using his laptop I logged into his account directly and the Outlook Mail page looks different to mine. There were no emails in his account at all.

Using my laptop and email account I sent an email to his address and this came through to his email on his laptop but did not bounce forward into mine.

There were definitely emails sent to him in the last 19 days.

Any ideas on what is happening? And how we can find the emails that haven't turned up anywhere?

Thanks in advance.

i had the same issue when i had all my emails forwared from my bullets-and-blanks to my current, i recently stopped getting my forwarded emails, to avoid any further issues i made a whole new acount, microsoft are slowly falling apart and forgetting some of us are still loyal, my advise is if it dosnt resolve soon then make a new Hotmail (Outlook) or googlemail to which you can both use, if its any consolation, thanks to windows 8/8.1 and 10 they require hotmail all the time so the servers are most likely clogged but i doubt it as im only a low level person lol

p.s the emails turning up, if they are personal, definalty make a seperate acount for them so least then you know your getting them.

I had a fruitful online chat with Microsoft last night and it turns out my partner's email account had problems during a batch migration to a newer version of Outlook. The missing emails are non-recoverable because we use the free Outlook service which is fully automated and not able to be looked at manually.

We're still having odd issues with emails not being forwarded in spite of the forwarding being newly enabled, so will again talk to Microsoft tonight.

But hey at least we're not going crazy :)
