Difficulty Using VGA & DVI On Startup

*I am posting this to Graphics Cards because it is a display port issue and I am not sure where else to post it.*

Motherboard: GA-H61N-USB3

When booting into Win7 x64 Ultimate, both the VGA and DVI ports are not recognized simultaneously using two displays. If you plug in the ports individually, they are fine, but with them both plugged in, the display in the VGA is recognized as priority and I have to Control Panel > Display > Detect Displays to get the DVI port to "wake" and become usable.

Is there a setting in Win7 that I am not utilizing? If not, any other tips?

During my attempts at using multiple monitors, I found that VGA will take priority during boot because it is the Least Complicated Denominator when it comes to graphics. It's unfortunate, but it seems true.

Once the boot is complete, however, there should be no probs with the DVI portion working. Other than replacing the onboard graphics with a PCIe video card (I notice that you only have one expansion slot on this board), I'm not sure what else to suggest and defer to the other "experts" here.

Are you using an adapter on either of the cables ?

No adapters.

DVI <=> DVI
VGA <=> VGA

My experience is different. I have both VGA and DVI-D plugs connected to flat panels and when I boot, both monitor show the POST messages. When I go to login, only the DVI monitor shows the screen. I do, however, have the DVI monitor set up as primary in Windows.

My GTS-250 always defaulted to the VGA regardless of which was primary in Windows. It took precedence over HDMI or DVI.
