Curious as to how to handle an SSD when re installing , is there any differences between an SSD and HDD when deciding to re install ?

None I can think of.

You can use Diskpart if you want or just delete all partitions when you come to the partitioning screen.

After install, you need to check defrag and alignment. But during the installation, I can't think of anything offhand.

There's "clean all" and "secure erase", but you wouldn't normally use any of those commands if you were just going to do another install.

Thank you , i only have a single SSD which i also use to boot with , i noticed that when doing disk cleanup , even though i delete the files i want deleted they are there the next time i check .

Don't know if that has something to do with my SSD or not but i do always format and delete the partition when i have clean installed .

If i was going to upgrade to Win 10 i wouldn't have to do diskpart either before i install on the SSD is what your saying ?

I don't use Win 10, but my understanding is that the free upgrade cannot be a clean install--it must be an upgrade install. So you wouldn't use Diskpart.

Once you get the free upgrade install activated, you can later go back and do a clean install if you want to. As far as I know, you could use Diskpart at that time if you wanted to, but you could instead just delete all partitions if you preferred.
