Drive opens automatically

My external hard drive"Volume J" opens every time I boot up in a window titled "Auto PLay". I prefer that it not do that and I'll open it when I want. As far as I can tell, it's not in the start up tab of MSCONFIG. How do I stop that window from opening automaticallY? Thanks. Hal.

Possibly rt click the drive/ properties there should be a way to keep it from opening, not really sure because i don't have an external drive that's hooked up all the time

Good Day Have you tried to plugging into a different usb slot? Or have a look here
