"Driver IRQL not less or equal" Problem

I went onto my computer, and a blue screen came up after the "Starting windows" screen. It would not let me put in my password or anything, just a bluescreen with "Driver IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL" message. At the bottom it had "STOP: 0x000000D1" with "ndis.sys" below it. I also cannot get onto the computer at all, it just has the bluescreen and tells me to restart my computer. If anyone can help me it would be great.

Hello Avionix and welcome to Sevenforums.

We appreciate your information, but we'll need your dump files in order to analyse your actual BSODs you're experiencing.

Your Minidump folder should be at the path C:\Windows\Minidump. If there's no files, make sure minidumps are enabled by -

Go to Start, then Run, then type in "sysdm.cpl" (without the quotes) and press Enter
Click on the Advanced tab
Click on the Startup and Recovery button
Ensure that "Automatically restart" is unchecked
Under the Write Debugging Information header select "Small memory dump (64 kB)" in the dropdown box
Ensure that the Small Dump Directory is listed as "%systemroot%\Minidump" (without the quotes)
Click OK twice to exit the dialogs, then reboot for the changes to take effect.

Next time you'd experience a BSOD, a dump is supposed to be generated. When it's generated, wrap it up in a zip and upload it.

I've analysed dumps with these drivers before, I usually suggest the users to reinstall it. It can be done at the website below.

I have Driverboost from the webpage you gave me. I ran it on the computer and it says "This installation package could not be opened". I can't run the installation process. I'm confused on what else i can use.

I looked for it in alot of places, even in the Uninstall Programs/Software section, i don't see it. I searched atheros as well and nothing came up.

Any chance that you can upload the full BSOD Report? By that, I can see which devices and drivers you have connected and running, as well as system specs. I believe I have a solution for you.

I took the whole file that i saw in the Minidump folder and uploaded it here. There was only 1 file after i ran the computer through the Bluescreen. I have ran my computer to the bluescreen again, and here is the file from this time.

Here's an idea to fix the package error on the Wireless Driver.

1. Press 'Windows key' + R
2. Type 'services.msc' without quotes
3. Find 'Windows Installer' on the list
4. Right click it, and click 'Properties'
5. Set the Startup Type to 'Automatic'

Then open the install file as you did previously.

I did what you said, it was manual at first. I changed to automatic and tried the installer again and i got same problem.

I can't run this on the other computer that is giving my bluescreen because it has no internet in safemode, and in the other safemode it just bluescreens as well.
