"Driver stuck in a loop"

Hello,

I recently bought a Dell Inspiron 545 and when I turned it on and tried to log in to my Win7 profile for the first time, hey presto! It crashed. I got a blue screen saying that a device driver was stuck in a loop and it had performed a crash dump of physical memory.

I can actually log in to windows in safe mode. Also, disabling the graphics card driver and using the MS default one instead will allow me to log in to Win7 normally, so I suspect it's a driver problem. Anyway please take a look at the dump information attached, along with a text file copied from an error notification I received when I did manage to log in in safe mode.

Anybody that can help me with this, even if it's just a case of getting certain new or old ATI drivers, please let me know!

THREAD_STUCK_IN_DEVICE_DRIVER (ea)
The device driver is spinning in an infinite loop, most likely waiting for hardware to become idle. This usually indicates problem with the hardware itself or with the device driver programming the hardware incorrectly.

Thanks, I gathered that from the error message but I'm not sure if I should use the latest drivers for this graphics card (assuming that that's the problem) or older ones.

Anyone any ideas other than trial and error?

True, true...hey do you know where I can get older drivers? ATI's Catalyst software is only concerned with the latest ones...
