DVI to VGA

I am using XFX Force ATi Radeon HD 5770 (Dual DVI, DisplayPort and HDMI) but the desktop icons are stretched tried adjustments in Catalyst control center and on LCD TV but cant cure the problem
Can I use an DVI to VGA convertor to run the card to the VGA connection on the TV and will this solve the problem thanks in advance

have you tried just changing your screen resolution to match that of your tv?

right-click on desktop >> screen resolution

if it's a proper hd tv, it will be 1920x1080

Ya, if you use the DVI>VGA it will fix the issue, but may not look as sharp as the HDMI.
What resolutions have you tried? 1366x768 is the native resolution of your TV (if it's the 32" in your specs)
