Your only concern should be heat. You can keep an eye on it with 3rd party apps cpu-z, and gpu-z. Both are free.

what is your cpu speed? depending on its speed it will work fine, it shoudl be about 3.1+ ghz for strong good play.

mines only 2.2ghz in my intel but dunno about my ati

Don't bother on a laptop. It will run miserably. PCSX2 needs a fairly powerful computer to emulate games.

yeh im planning on getting a better computer first my laptops faster then my computer :S
